I’ve had the honor and privilege to be commissioned to do Mari Holden’s website. Mari is an Olympic Silver medalist in cycling and on top of being a great athlete, is a great person as well.

About the site

The site is powered by Wordpress that is mainly posed to be a blog but also as a CMS system for managing the sub-pages. Mari is now working as a cycling trainer and resides in the San Diego area. Her site will provide training tips, diet and exercise suggestions, and other great tidbits of information for the aspiring cyclist. If you’re looking for cycling training, take a look at the training packages and contact her ASAP!

Goals

Some of the goals for this project was to get it up and running quick (an advantage of Wordpress), make it manageable to Mari herself (another benefit of WP), and make it stylish (many cool themes to choose from and modify with WP). I say that WP has definitely accomplished that and some more.

Cutline - Awesome theme

Speaking of themes, the site is a heavily modified Cutline theme by Chris Pearson. Great base theme to start customization.
